Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize the combustion and to improve the thermal efficiency by connecting a timing control valve, flow control system, accumulator and flow mixing and pressure transferring devide to an induction pipe in the said sequence.
CONSTITUTION: A timing control valve 11 which opens in the intake stroke, a flow control system consisting of a fixed orifice 12 and a flow control valve 17, an accumulator 14 and an air pump 16 which functions as a flow mixing and pressure transferring device are connected to an induction pipe 10 opening to a combustion chamber 1. When the load is increased in the warm-up, the flow control valve 17 is opened and controled by the intake negative pressure via a pressure transfer delaying valve 18, and super lean air-fuel mixture sucked by the air pump 16 from a carburetor A is injected at high spead into a cylinder 2 in the intake stroke via the accumulator 14 and the valve 11 thereby creating strong vortex in the combustion chamber 1 even in the final stage of the intake period.
