Abstract
PURPOSE:To make uniform the sensitivity of flaw detection and to improve the accuracy of flaw detection by a method wherein the sensitivity of ultrasonic flaw detection is automatically corrected. CONSTITUTION:Input signals from vibrator 11-1n are applied to a channel selector 5 whereby the signal of one vibrator is selected according to the instructing signal given by a computer 4. The selected signal is inputted to an A/D converter 6 to which a trigger signal has been applied from a receiving delay setter 7. The output of the A/D converter 6 is given to a digital adder 8, causing the selector 5 to switch to the number of times defined by the computer 4 and the ultrasonic waveform of each receiving vibrator output to be added in a digital amount. The added digital waveform is inputted to an amplifier 9 to which the amplitude is given by an amplitude setter 10. The amplitude of the amplitude setter 10 is given by the computer 4 beforehand so that the vibration of the sensitivitiy of flaw detection can be corrected.
