Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve reliability by recording data and a timing clock in succession on the same track on the magnetic stripe surface of a magnetic card and recording and reproducing data information by using the timing clock. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head 10 dedicated to reading is arranged at a closer side to an insertion opening side for a magnetic card 12, and a magnetic head 11 dedicated to recording is also arranged at an inner side. The magnetic head 10 reads data in a information area 12a when the magnetic card 12 is inserted into a device. After the magnetic card 12 is inserted into the inner part to turn on and off a switch 5, and then drawn out. At this time, a timing clock in a previously recorded area 12b is read out and new data is recorded in a data information area 12a by a recording head 11 while synchronizing with the clock. Even if the drawing-out speed of the magnetic card 12 varies, the timing clock follows up the running-speed variation of the magnetic card 12, so stable data information is recorded.
