Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the control of a stepping motor without influence of temperature change or the like by digitizing the drive device for the motor. CONSTITUTION:This device has a programmable counter 12 which start counting of clock pulses when the counting number M is set and generates a step pulse for each count of M, a programmable counter 13 which starts counting of step pulses when counting number N is set and generates an interrupt pulse for counting N times, an energization pulse generator 14 for generating an energization pulse in synchronism with the step pulse, a stepping motor 16 driven by the pulse, and a processor 10 which resets the counted number of the respective counters every time an interrupt pulse is generated. The frequency of the pulse is controlled by program, thereby controlling the speed of the motor.
