Abstract
PURPOSE: To conduct both of biological reaction and precipitating dephosphorizing reaction in the same step with high efficiency, by keeping phosphate ion-contg. organic waste water conjunctly with a granular solid and a calcium agent in a disposal vessel, and blowing oxygen-contg. gas into the disposal vessel.
CONSTITUTION: Untreated water 1 containing BOD components, ammonia and phosphoric acid flows through an untreated water-inflow pipe 2 into a reaction vessel 3. In the reaction vessel 3, a calcium agent 7 is fed through its bottom, while air 10 is fed through an air-feed pipe 6. A granular solid 4, which is precharged into the reaction vessel 3, is suspended and fluidized by a liluid-cycling mechanism involving an air-lift pipe 5, and oxygen in air 10 is dissolved in the untreated water 1. The operation is continued while feeding the untreated water 1, air 10 and the calcium agent 7 into the reaction vessel 3. About 2 months later, a biomembrane and a phosphorus hydroxyapatite film adhere onto the surface of the granular solid 4, and the removal of BOD components and phoshoric acid is done.
