Abstract

PURPOSE:To make terminal pickup from external electrodes easy, by fitting a sheet connector providing a number of linear conductors corresponding to a number of external electrodes with thermal pressing and fitting a liquid crystal cell on a printed circuit board through the provision of electrically conductive rubber between the wiring sections of the printed circuit board. CONSTITUTION:Display glass substrates 3, 4 are laminated on both surfaces of a glass substrate 2 in common central part with a liquid crystal cell 1, both ends 2a, 2b of the board 2 are provided with external electrode 5, 6 and 7, 8 on both the surfaces, and a sheet connector 11 providing a number of conductors 12- connected to the electrodes 5, 6, and 7, 8 for external power supply terminals, is fitted by heat pressing. A part of a linear conductor 12 is exposed externally and conductive rubber products 14, 15 are provided between the wirings 19 of the printed board 18, and the liquid crystal 1 is fitted on the board 18 with frame-shape fitting members 16, 17. The terminal pickup from the external electrode is made easy and a liquid crystal display device excellent in the safety and mass-producibility can be achieved.
