Abstract
PURPOSE: To dehydrate org. waste liquid contg. ammonia easily with addition of lime at a small amt. by subjecting said waste liquid to a biological nitrification and denitrification treatment, adding lime to mixed slurries of excess sludge and treated water thence subjecting the slurries to mechanical dehydration.
CONSTITUTION: Crude night soil 31 is introduced into a biological nitrifiacation and denitrification stage 32, and part 33 of slurry is treated with a sludge concentrator 34. Concd. sludge 35 is returned to the stage 32 and treated water 36 is mixed with the outflow slurry 37 from the stage 32 to make mixed slurries 38. Thence, in a lime adding tank 39, lime 40, that is, slaked lime or quicklime is added to the mixed slurries 37, and after these are mixed, they are introduced into a mechanical dehydrator 41, by which they are separated to dehydrated cake 42 and dehydrated and separated water 43. The water 43 is released as treated water or is further subjected to higher treatments. Thereby, the less addition amt. of lime is required, and the amt. of production of dehydrated cake and the amt. of incineration ashes are reduced considerably.
