Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure the operation of a power converter device by a method wherein an auxiliary speed setting device is provided in addition to a main speed setting device and a speed signal is fed from the auxiliary speed setting device for a fixed period during the starting time of the operation for the secondary exciting control device in starting an induction motor. CONSTITUTION:The rotating speed signal of an induction motor 3 and a signal applied to a delay circuit from two speed setting devices 9, 19 through switching circuits 20, 21 are compared by a controller 11 and furthermore, the output in the controller 11 and the output current in a power converter divice 7 are compared by a controller 12 to generate a gate signal in the converter device 7 controlling the secondary output in the motor 3. Therefore, the motor is controlled by the signal from an auxiliary speed setting device 19 at the time of staring the operation for the secondary exciting control device in starting the motor and the speed of the motor 3 can always be maintained within a range of controlling the power converter device 7 by switching to a main speed setting device after passing a certain period and the inability of control such as interruption can be prevented.
