Abstract

PURPOSE: To make joining of metals other than Al to themselves possible and to perform firm joining easily by pressure-welding an Al brazing filler metal on at least one surface of a metallic sheet other than Al thereby forming brazing sheet.
CONSTITUTION: A brazing sheet is a metallic sheet other than Al, of which at least one surface out of both surfaces is a metallic sheet other than Al, of which at least one surface out of both surfaces is pressure welded with an Al brazing filler metal. The metallic sheet other than Al includes metallic sheets consisting of titanium, nickel, cobalt, etc., or their respective alloys. The Al brazing filler metal is pressure-welded in the form of a foil on at least one surface out of both surfaces of such metallic sheets. Ordinary cold pressure welding and hot pressure welding are eumerated as pressure welding methods; it is preferable to themselves is made possible at the low temps. of the same conditions as those for vacuum brazing of Al.
