Abstract

PURPOSE: An inorg. filler capable of being kneaded with a thermoplastic resin to form a reinforced composite resin composition with excellent physical properties, which is prepd. by attaching a spcified org. phosphate and/or carboxylate on the surface of an inorg. filler particle.
CONSTITUTION: An org. phasphate having a (meth)acryloyl group of formulaI [wherein R1 is H or methyl; R2 is 2W6C (halogen-substd.) alkylene, a polyoxyethylene group or polyoxypropylene group; m is 1W2]and an acid group, and/or a carboxylate of formula II (wherein R3 is phenylene, naphthylene, 1W 10C alkylene or alkenylene is used. 0.05W10wt% said ester is allowed to be adsorbed to an inorg. filler such as calcium carbonate of average particle size ≤ about 20μ to prepare an inorg. surface-modified filler.
