Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect torque fluctuation in a simple way and at the low cost by detecting the time required for one revolution and the absolute pressure in the suction pipe of the internal combustion engine, and operating this output. CONSTITUTION:A pulse disc is fixed to the crankshaft of an internal combustion engine 1. The projection 6 of the pulse disc 4 is detected by an electromagnetic pickup 7 and the time Ti required for one revolution of the engine 1 is measured, and the result of this measurement is input to a computer 13. On the other hand, an absolute pressure sensor 14 is mounted on a suction manifold connected with a through hole with the cylinder head of the main body of the engine 1, and the absolute pressure Pabs measured by the absolute pressure sensor 14 is input to the computer 13 through an A/D convertor 15. The computer 13 executes operation based on these inputs and finds out the change in the torque of the internal combustion engine 1 and displays it on a display unit 16.
