Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove high concentration organic substance efficiently by separating slurry of organic substance treated bio-chemically into membrane permeable liquid and concentrated liquid and applying adsorption processing and chemical oxidation processing to the membrane permeable liquid.
CONSTITUTION: Slurry is subjected to oxidation reaction in a bio-chemical reaction tank A for a specified time. The slurry 3 is then pressurized and made to flow into a microporous membrane or a ultrafiltration membrane cell B. Active sludge 4 concentrated by the attached cell B is discharged, and the most part of it is returned to the reaction tank A. Membrane permeable liquid 5 in the attached cell B is sent to an oxidation decomposition device C. Here, the liquid is oxidized by adding a chemical oxidizing decomposing agent 13 such as peroxide etc. Low COD, BOD waste water containing coloring matters is then led to an adsorbing device E to remove slightly remaining COD, BOD and coloring matters, and clear liquid is discharged.
