Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a painted metallic plate with patterns having high design characteristic by coating paint contg. iron oxide on the metallic plate to form a paint film, and acting magnetic fields upon this paint film thereafter baking the paint film.
CONSTITUTION: After paint contg. iron oxide is uniformly coated on a metallic plate, magnetic poles are placed in the positions in proximity to the paint film and magnetic fields are acted upon the paint film before the paint film still retains fluidity, whereby the iron oxide in the paint film is moved and magnetic field patterns are developed. Thereafter, the paint film is backed to set. In this way, the metallic plate with the patterns of high design characteristic having the paint film surface of the state that the fine ruggedness of iron oxide is coated by the resin is produced.
