Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head which performs large-current recording which hardly causing a magnetic core to be saturated magnetically. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic core 2 consists of a main magnetic path constituting part 7 and a gap constituting part 8. The main magnetic path constituting part 7 is made of a magnetic material, such as a ferrite material, which has high intrinsic resistance and high density of saturated magnetic flux, and does not decrease in sectional area even at the circumference of the gap constituting part 8. The gap constituting part 8 is made of a magnetic material, such as Fe-Al-Si alloy, which has higher density of saturated magnetic flux than the said ferrite material, and connected to the main magnetic path constituting part 7 with joint parts 9a and 9b to be sandwiched in the main magnetic path constituting part 7. The gap constituting part 8 decreases in sectional area gradually from the joint parts 9a and 8b to a gap 5, and has enough small sectional area at the part of the gap 5 to make magnetic flux influence on the outside efficiently.
