Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic toner having enhanced developing and transferring performances, by using a combination of 2 kinds of insulating magnetic toners triboelectrified to polarities different from each other. CONSTITUTION:Two kinds of thermoplastic resins different in triboelectric series from each other are used, or a surface treating agent and a dye are added as a charge controller to prepare 2 kinds of insulating magnetic toner powders different from each other in charging characteristics. Sufficiently mixing these 2 kinds of toner powders charges them to polarities different from each other by friction between them. The toners reversely charge are fed to a sleeve type magnetic roller developing device to develop an electrostatic latent image. The insulating magnetic powder charge to a polarity reverse to that of the image is attached to the image, and the other powder charged reversely is also attached to part of the image in developing. A mixing ratio of these powders is 1:0.1-1:10, and a preferable range of particle diameter is 5-30mum for them.
