Abstract
PURPOSE: To change the rate of return flow gas before and after warming up operation of the device to improve the operating condition of an engine by fitting a working valve which opens at the temperature above the set temperature in a negative pressure passage connected to an exhaust gas return flow device.
CONSTITUTION: Suction and exhaust passages 2, 3 of an engine 1 are connected by an EGR passage 6 having an EGR valve 7. A negative pressure chamber 8 of the valve 7 is connected with a suction pipe 2 at right above a throttle valve 5 when it is completely closed through a negative pressure passage 9 which is constituted by a passage 9a which has a damper valve 14 with a delay mechanism and a passage 9b with a temperature sensing valve 15. When the temperature of the engine is below the set temperature, the temperature sensing valve 15 is closed and the negative pressure is conveyed through the passage 9a, but, when it is above the set temperature, the valve 15 is opened to convey negative pressure through both passages 9a, 9b.
