Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled composition with excellent dispersion stability, giving a coat with good water resistance and corrosion resistance, which comprises a powder paint of a special composition and a carboxyl group-containing water-soluble resin.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A powder paint of particle size of 1W100μ, composed of a thermoplastic resin or thermo-setting resin, a loading pigment, a coloring pigment, an additive, etc. and (B) a carboxyl group-containing water-soluble resin (e.g., a phenol-moldified polybutadiene rubber, etc.) are mixed in a weight ratio of a solid in component (A) to that in component (B) of 0.1W100, preferably 0.2W5, and after the carboxyl group of component (B) is neutralized by adjusting pH to 7W9 by use of a meutralizing agent, the resulting mixture is adjusted to have a desired viscosity by the addition of water.
