Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the reliability of system, by closing one microprocessor and performing data processing through another microprocessor, when failure is detected in the driver of one microprocessor.
CONSTITUTION: Microprocessor 1, 2 are connected to a common bus C-BUS respectively via bus drivers 3-1 and 4-1 provided at control sections 3 and 4. This C-BUS is connected with a memory device 5 and channel devices 6, 7... to constitute the data processing system of multiprocessor system. If a failure is present in this bus driver 3-1, since this is detected, the microprocessor 1 is closed by completing the bus sequence of the microprocessor 1 to keep the operation for another microprocessor 2 as it is. Thus, the advantages of the multiprocessor system can be reserved and the system-down can be prevented.
