Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve an antifatigue property of a steel cord, by a method wherein a steel cord plated with ternary alloy of a given copper-cobalt-zinc is sheathed with a burried rubber mixed with a given liquefied rubber.
CONSTITUTION: In a radial type in which a steel cord layer is formed, a steel cord, whose surface consists of filaments plated with ternary alloy of copper-cobalt-zinc, is reinforced with a cord layer which is formed such that 5W25wt% of the rubber component in the rubber composition is burried with the rubber composition being liquefied polyisoprene having 10,000W80,000 molecular weight, and the resultant work is vulcanized for forming. The liquefied polyisoprene containing 5W10wt% of bindings 1, 2 and bindings 3, 4 is used. The composition of said ternary alloy is preferably 58W75wt% of copper, 0.5W10wt% of cobalt, and 15W41.5wt% of zinc.
