Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the floating bodies from collision and impact load between each other by a method wherein on the perpendicular surfaces of adjacent floating bodies are provided guides and ar fixed fitting bases which are connected by universal joints with each other.
CONSTITUTION: On the perpendicular surfaces of mutual adjacent parts of plural floats 10, 10 on the water are provided guides 7, 8, detachable fitting bases 5, 6 are arranged and universal joints are fixed to each of the fitting bases 5, 6. The fitting bases 5, 6 are inserted into the guides 7, 8, located and then hydraulic cement 9 is grouted and fixed. The connecting parts are constructed by strong universal joints and hence, it is possible to prevent impact load due to the inertia which occurs on the connecting parts by the mutual collision and the mutual play between the floats. Furthermore, the assembly of the connecting parts can be simplified by the guides 7, 8.
