Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare titled base cloth for the lining of a shoe, by thinly coating a silicone paper with a solvent-containing hot melt-type adhesive, and releasing the silicone paper after adhesion of a base cloth such as a woven cloth, to the coated surface.
CONSTITUTION: Silicone paper 1 is transfered by means of guide roll 2 and rubber roll 3, and coated, by use of doctor knife 5, with a certain amount of hot melt-type adhesive 5, which is dissolved in a solvent and placed on the silicone paper 1 at the top of the rubber roll 3. After most of the solvent in the adhesive is vaporized by passing the coated silicone paper through dryer 5, base cloth 6 such as a woven cloth, knitted cloth or nonwoven fabric, transfered through guide roll 7, is opposed to the surface of the adhesive 4 through heating rollers 8 and 8', and is adhered to the silicone paper 1 by melting the hot melt-type adhesive, and then rolled. Titled base cloth is obtained by releasing the silicone paper from laminated material 9 thus obtained.
