Abstract
PURPOSE: An acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer rubber is combined with a specific liquid polymer and an antiaging agent and they are vulcanized with sulfur to prevent the hardening-type deterioration caused by rancidified gasoline without damages to heat resistance, gasoline resistance and cold resistance.
CONSTITUTION: Said composition comprises (A) 50W95pts.wt. of copolymer rubber composed of 20W80wt% of butadiene and/or isoprene, 10W50wt% of acrylonitrile, and 0W60wt% of α,β-monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid or its ester, (B) 5W50pts. of a liquid polymer of a number-average molecular weight of 500W10,000 composed of 30W80wt% of butadiene and/or isoprene, 10W50wt% of acrylonitrile and 0.1W20wt% of α,β-monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, (C) a sulfur vulcanizer and (D) a p-phenylenediamine antiaging agent with a solubility of less than 1g/100ml of n-hexane at 20°C, preferably by 1W10pts. per 100pts. of the total of A and B.
