Abstract

PURPOSE: To release a constant speed running for safety when an engine function is reduced on account of an overheat or other reasons, by providing a sensor, which detects such conditions, for an automotive constant speed running equipment.
CONSTITUTION: A control circuit 1 is connected to a key switch 3, a main switch 2 and a manually operated set switch 4 and controls a carbureter's throttle valve not illustrated in the drawing with the aid of an actuator 13, thereby keeping an automobile run at a constant speed. In addition, the circuit 1 is connected to a deceleration switch 5, a brake switch 7, a clutch switch 8 and a sensor 9 for detecting a reduction in function. If any one of those switches 7, 8 and 9 may be actuated, the control circuit 1 releases the constant speed driving.
