Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to cast casings for axial-flow and oblique-flow pumps having different specifications easily, by manufacturing at least one out of inlet core and outlet core separately from the passage core, and uniting them together in the course of core assembling process.
CONSTITUTION: Casings for axial-flow and obliquie-flow pumps are composed of outer drum (c) having an inlet (a) at one end and an outlet (b) at the other end, inner drum (e) which is installed in outer cylinder (c) so that a looped space may be formed at the circumference of inner drum (e), and a plural number of guide blade (g) which divides the looped space into a plural number of twisted fluid passage (f). To cast the casing, inlet core 1 forming inlet section (a), inner cores 2 and 3 forming the inner surface of inner drum (e), outlet core 4 forming outlet (b), and a plural number of passage center 5 forming the inner surface of outer drum (c), the inner surface of inner drum (e) and guide blade (g), are used. When the casing is manufactured, inlet core 1 and outlet core 4 are manufactured separately and they are connected to the main body of casing in the course of core assembling process. By this, inlet core 1 and outlet core 4 will not obstruct the manufacturing work even when passage core 5 is twisted considerably.
