Abstract
PURPOSE:To decide the necessary Hamming distance with a simple constitution, by giving a logic process to the output of a bit coincidence detecting circuit which detects the coincidence between the bits of two codes. CONSTITUTION:The data code consisting of two (m) bits is divided with every (n) bits, and the plural circuits 1, 2, 3, 4... are provided to detect the Hamming distance of each bit. Each of these circuits comprises the 1-bit coincidence circuit which detects the coincidence between the (n) bits of the two codes plus the n-bit coincidence detecting circuit which detects the full coincidence, coincidence of (n-1) units,... coincidence of zero unit each for (n) bits of the two codes out of the logic circuits. The circuits 5 and 6 decide the Hamming distance for the four bits based on these outputs of the logic circuits; while the circuits 7 decides the Hamming distance for eight bits each.
