Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the excellent deodorizing property stably as well as economically by a method wherein a solution in a deodorizing tower is electrolyzed in response to a concn. of NaClO therein to provide NaClO in self-sufficiency and an NaClO concn. in said tower is regulated to a predetermined range.
CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas 1 containing malodorous components is introduced into a deodorizing tower 4 and contacted with an NaClO solution countercurrently in an absorbing zone 6 to oxidize said maladorous components and exhausted as an odorless exhaust gas from a top portion of the tower. If an NaClO concn. in the tower is measured and monitored by a concn. detector 9 and reached to 300ppm or less, the signal thereof is sent to a pump 10 and an electric source 11 of an electrolytic tower by the detector 9 to operate the electrolytic tower 12 and NaClO is regenerated in the electrolytic tower and supplied to the deodorizing tower 4 by a supply pipe 13. If an NaClO concn. in the deodorizing tower is reached to 3,000 ppm, the signal is sent to the pump 10 and the electric source 11 of the electolytic tower from the concn. detector 9 to stop the operation of the electrolytic tower 12.
