Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the flavor of a food industrially and advantageously, by adding a very small amount of an extract from skibire kuzuukon (a species of Marantha arundinacea L.) and a amino acid and/or maltol to a flavoring food, medicine, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A flavoring food, medicine or nonmedicinal substance, e.g. ham, pickles, milk drink, flavoring vitamin or dentifrice, or a raw material therefor, is homogeneously mixed with 0.0001W0.000001wt% an extract from shibire kuzuukon (a species of Marantha arundinacea L.) and 0.5W0.00003wt% amino acid or a salt thereof and/or 0.1W0.00001wt% maltol.
