Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a wire for arc welding of the austenite type stainless steel which is obtained by adding specific elements to the austenite type stainless steel and is formed with the weld material superior in resistance to high-temperature creep. CONSTITUTION:A wire for arc welding of the anstenite type stainless steel is produced by steel materials where 0.02-0.10% C, 0.01-0.08% P, 0.01-0.4% V, 0.01-0.45% Nb, 0.008-0.4% N and 0.1-1.0% Si or, further, <0.6% Ti and <0.01% B are included in the steel having fundamental components of the ordinary Ni-Cr system austenite stainless steel. The high-temperature creep characteristic is improved by adding V and Nb to the austenite stainless steel, and further, high- temperature creep rupture strength and creep elongation at rupture of the welded metal are improved as a wire by adding P, C, N, Ti, B, P, C, and N.
