Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an exhaust gas treating catalyst for removing dusts such as fly ash together with the NOX in exhaust gases with good efficiency, which comprises TiO2-V2O5-CuSO4.
CONSTITUTION: This is a TiO2-V2O5-CuSO4 catalyst which consists in adding 3W 10wt% particularly 5W8wt% V2O5, and 1W5wt% particularly 3W5wt% CuSO4 based on weight of V2O5 to a TiO2 carrier which has high granulating characteristic, retaining high activity and has been molded. This catalyst has conversion action of SO2 to SO3 besides high denitration action, and even in coal combustion in which dusts of extremely poor dust collecting characteristic being produced, this catalyst makes possible controlling of SO3 in response to the request. Hence, the exhaust gas treatment is performed effectively through improvement in dust collecting efficiency, that is, miniaturization of an electric dust collector.
