Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the electric characteristic of a rotating electric machine to be favorable and to elevate the mechanical characteristic like abrasion resistance, impact withstanding force, etc., attempting the elevation of characteristic of the coil as a whole by a method wherein the first insulating layer consisting of the composite mica is formed in the stator core and the secondary insulating layer consisting of the flake mica is formed on the coil end part at the outside of the core. CONSTITUTION:An insulating layer of a stator coil 2 in a stator core 1 of a rotating electric machine is formed only with a composite mica having a favorable electric characteristic for a short and a long time and having a superior physical characteristic like thermal conductivity, etc., and abrasion resistance. A stator coil end part 8 projecting to the outside of a stator core 1 is bound with binding belts 9 to fix and to suppress the electromagnetic vibration generating by operation and short- circuiting accident, and an insulating layer is constituted by winding around only with the flake mica having a superior mechanical characteristic against an impact force from outside, etc., or by the mixed winding of the composite mica and the flake mica. By this way, using the insulating material discriminating in accordance with the necessitating performance, the character of the stator coil as a whole can be elevated.
