Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform high-efficiency electric power supply adapted to battery driving, by driving the amplifier by a low power source voltage for a small amplitude and by driving the amplifier by a high power source voltage only for a large amplitude. CONSTITUTION:In case of a small amplitude of output 3 of amplifier 2 and a positive half cycle, diode 22 becomes conductive by the difference between the potential of positive power source line 12 and the potential of output 3. Consequently, transistors 20 and 16 are turned on, and transistor 17 is turned off, and the half voltage of voltage E of battery 5 is supplied to amplifier 2, and a current is flowed to load 4 through capacitor 14. In case of a negative half cycle, a current is flowed through capacitor 15 similarly. Further, in case of a large output of amplifier 2 and a positive half cycle, transistors 20 and 17 are turned off and on respectively, and negative power source line 7 and common line 7 are short-circuited. Consequently, voltage E is applied between positive power lines 6 and 12 and common line 9. In case of a negative half cycle, voltage E is applied between negative power source lines 7 and 13 and common line 9 similarly.
