Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by providing a deboosting circuit and switch circuit and then by operating the deboosting circuit only while a sense amplifier is in operation. CONSTITUTION:When a strobe pulse is inputted to the primary winding of transformer T of switch circuit 6, transistor Q conducts, allowing a current to flow through deboosting circuit 5 applied with a direct-current voltage of -VH only for the moment. Consequently, a negative voltage of -V high enough to operate a sense amplifier is developed at the collector side of switch circuit 6 as long as the strobe pulse is inputted. Therefore, differential amplifier A is operated by the direct-current voltage of +V across the logic power supply and the negative pulse voltage of -V, so that this differential amplifier A will operate for the strobe- pulse period. In this way, the power consumption can be reduced.
