Abstract
PURPOSE: To make a seal for a handle shaft unnecessary by a method wherein an internal portion of a valve box for an on-off valve used for an emergency valve for a tank car or the like is divided into two compartments by a partition plate and the valve is opened or closed by repulsion or attraction between a magnet attached to a valve rod connected to the valve body and a magnet attached to the handle.
CONSTITUTION: An internal portion of a valve box 1 is divided by a partition plate 7 into a first chamber 8 and a second chamber 9 having a fluid introducing port 5 and a discharging port 6. A connecting portion of an operating handle 14 is provided at one end thereof while an operating rod 13 of a nonmagnetic body, equipped with a first magnetic body 15 having at least one piece of magnetic pole of N or S, is provotably provided within the valve box 1, and the first magnetic body 15 is opposed to the partition plate 7 in the first chamber 8. A valve rod 19 of a nonmagnetic body, equipped with a valve body 21 at one end thereof and a second magnetic body 22, having at least one piece of the magnetic pole of S or N which is an opposite pole with respect to the magnetic pole of the first magnetic body 15, on the other end thereof, is provided in the second chamber 9 reciprocally in an axial line direction thereof. The second magnetic body 22 is opposed to the first magnetic body 15 through a boundary of the partition plate 7.
