Abstract
PURPOSE: A pyrogenic composition that is prepared by adding a metal oxide as an auxiliary reaction accelerator to the effective components of iron and a water-soluble hydrazine inorganic acid salt, thus being suitably used for disposable body warmer that generates heat rapidly by reaction with water and oxygen to maintain high temperatures for many hours.
CONSTITUTION: (A) Powdery or particulate iron and (B) a water-soluble hydrazine inorganic acid salt such as hydrazine hydrochloride are used as the effective components and they are combined with (C) a metal oxide, preferably an oxide of copper or manganese, as an auxiliary reaction accelerator to produce the objective pyrogenic composition that generates heat by reaction with water and oxygen.
