Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep the revolution of the generator constant which is rotated by means of an oil hydraulic pump and an oil hydraulic motor in the generation equipment utilizing the flow of water in a general river, by providing the equipment with a governer and a pressure reducing valve.
CONSTITUTION: The flow of water causes a hydraulic turbine to rotate, and this causes an oil hydraulic pump 4 to rotate. The oil delivered from the pump 4 causes an oil hydraulic motor 5 to rotate, and this causes a generator 6 to rotate. At the rise of a river or a flood, the hydraulic turbine rotates at a high speed, and the quantity of the oil delivered from the pump 4 increases. Consequently, the generator 6, which is rotated also at an ultra-high speed, may be burnt out. In order to prevent the burn-out, a governer 7 and a pressure reducing valve 8 control the quantity of the oil delivered from the oil hydraulic pump 4 so that the revolutions of the oil hydraulic motor 5 and the generator 6 are kept constant.
