Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a photo beam thermomagnetic recording apparatus capable of making another direct record by high frequency oscillation approaching a coil to a recording medium by a method wherein a magnetic field generating coil is made extremely small-sized and vertical positions are controlled independently of an objective lens. CONSTITUTION:A photo beam thermomagnetic recording apparatus is composed of a vice coil 12, a mirror 13, a coil base 14, a spring 15 which controls vertical positions of a coil 10, a piezo element 16 which gives fine vertical oscillation to an objective lens 4 and an accese arm 17 which moves arbitrarily the objective lens 4 and the coil 10 in a unitary body on a plane parallel to the surface of a recording medium 2. The coil 10 is approached to the recording medium 2 as possible in order to give high frequency oscillation to the magnetic field generating coil 10. The vertical position of the objective lens 4 and that of the coil 10 are placed so that they can be changed independently of each other and those vertical positions are controlled by the objective lens 4.
