Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture the captioned sheet continuously by a method wherein a fused polyolefin thin layer is held between two long plastic sheets, a thin strip ready for releasing is inserted at desired intervals, and a strip-inserted zone is cut after deposition and cooling.
CONSTITUTION: Two heat-contractile plastic sheets 1, 1' are fed in the same direction simultaneously as overlapping each other, a modified polyethylene is inserted between the two as an intermediate layer 4, and a thin strip 5 of polyethylene terephtalate film is inserted, in this case, at desired intervals in such direction as will cross the sheets. Then, the sheets are pressed through a double-stage roller 6 (circulating a cooling water) and cooled down by a blower to a unified sheet 7. The sheet 7 is then cut at a center of the portion in which the thin strip 5 is inserted, the thin strip 5 is broken away and removed, thereby obtaining a heat-contractile plastic sheet with two forked extensions.
