Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a starting property and protect against the occurrence of a dryout phenomenon, by a method wherein a heat pipe is double-structured, and the respective heat pipes are filled with functional fluid having different freezing points.
CONSTITUTION: The second heat pipe 1b is arranged inside the first heat pipe 1a, and an improved heat conductive substance 8 is positioned at an external circumference of an evaporation portion A and a condensation portion C of the second heat pipe 1b. Said improved conductive substance 8 makes contact with both the evaporation portion A and condensation portion B of the first heat pipe 1a. The first heat pipe 1a is filled with a functional medium 3a having a high freezing point and the second heat pipe 1b with a functional medium 3b having a low freezing point. This causes each evaporation portion A and each condensation portion C of the heat pipes 1a and 1b to be connected together through the medium of their respective improved heat conductive sbstance 8, whereby a starting property of the heat pipe can be improved.
