Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce a harmful and not combustion component of exhaust gas produced in combustion without influencing unfavorably high load and high output driving, by providing intake and exhaust ports with projecting guide walls is order to generate rotating currents.
CONSTITUTION: In order to generate rotating currents in the already combusted gas flowing back to the combustion chamber 4 through the exhaust passage 10 due to the overlap of valve opening in intake and exhaust valves 12, 12', 13 and in intake air-fuel mixture suctioned into the combustion chamber 4 through a branch intake passage 20 rotating current generating guide walls 14 and 14' are provied on the combustion chamber 4. The guide walls 14, and 14' caused unbalance in the already combusted gas which is flowing back to the combustion chamber 4 through an exhaust valve port 6 from the exhaust gas passage 10, when the exhaust valve 13 is still open in the intake stroke, and as a result the back-flowing already combusted gas flows to the combustion chamber 4 with rotating currents developed, and the back-flowing already combusted gas that collides the inner peripheral surface 15 of the circle are concave shape of the rotating current generating guide wall from the exhaust gas passage 10 flows in the combustion chamber 4 as rotating currents.
