Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the processing period for calculating the wheel speed by providing a free running counter and memory for wheel speed detection and obtaining the wheel speed through the substraction of counts stored in the memory.
CONSTITUTION: In a wheel speed sensor 19, the rotation of a rotor 136 is converted by an electromagnetic pick-up 137 into an AC voltage, which is coupled through a shaping circuit 139 to an input/output circuit 121. A CPU114 and input/output circuit 147 are connected to each other by a bus 147. A basic clock signal is supplied from an MPU115 to an RAM117, an ROM119 and to the input/output circuit 121, and data is transferred in synchronism to this basic clock signal. The everflow signals of the counters 123 and 125 are coupled to register control circuits 131 and 133. The output of the discrete input/output circuit 135 is given to a fuse 53, an alarm lamp 51 and a solenoid 52.
