Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the rotor of the compressor to rotate in a balanced condition by a method wherein the peak output values of the discharge ports of the compressor are distributed uniformly with respect to the angle of rotation of the rotor having a curved cross sectional configuration similar to a regular polygon with the vertexes inscribing the inner wall of a cylinder in which the rotor is arranged.
CONSTITUTION: The rotor 2 has a curved cross sectional configuration similar to a regular triangle with the vertexes thereof inscribing the inner wall of the cylinder 1 and sucking ports 6 and 6' are arranged uniformly with respect to the angle of rotation of the rotor 2. When the rotor 2 rotates, the sucking of a coolant by the sucking port 6 in a clearance A comes to an end. When the rotor 2 is rotated further by 60° in the direction of the arrow, the clearance A is displaced by a clearance B and simultaneously with the compression of the coolant from the port 6 by a vane 5', a clearance D is brought under a vacuum condition to prepare for sucking. Upon further rotation of the rotor 2 by 60°, the clearance B is displaced by a clearance C in which a discharge valve plate 8 is opened to discharge the compressed coolant while the clearance D is displaced by a clearance E in which the coolant is sucked by the sucking port 6'. The above operation takes place twice while the rotor rotates by 180° and therefore, the rotation of the rotor is well balanced and the vibration thereof can be reduced.
