Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a circuit of high-speed graphic data selection by providing an arrangement expanding circuit which calculates successively graphic data at respective arrangement element positions of an arranged pattern and a circuit which discriminates whether the graphic data touches a specified selection point or not. CONSTITUTION:The selection-point data of a pattern is sent from electronic computer 1 to discriminating circuit 3, and stored in the selection-point register of circuit 3. Next, the arrangement data of the pattern is stored in the arrangement data register in arrangement expanding circuit 2. Then, every time graphic data is sent, circuit 2 calculates each arrangement element position, which is used to convert the graphic data into new graphic data; and the new data is sent to circuit 3 at every time. At this time, arrangement position data indicating the current arrangement position is sent to computer 1 via signal line 102. Circuit 3 compares the contents of the selection-point register with the graphic data and, when the result meets requirements of selection, sends an interruption signal to computer 1 via signal line 103. Computer 1, when receiving the interruption signal, checks the arrangement position data to know the arrangement position of graphic data selected at this time.
