PURPOSE:To realize a translating system capable of an easy countermeasure regardless of an increment of the number of both devices and alarm signal lines, by having indexing for a pointer table or the like in an ROM against the input of the alarm signal series and then carrying out translation of alarm signals. CONSTITUTION:The alarm signal is applied to the P/S converting circuit 12 via the buffer 11 to be converted into a series signal. This series signal is furthermore converted into a parallel signal through the alarm monitor frame S/P converting circuit 13 and supplied to the control part 14. Indexing is given at the control part 14 to the pointer table stored in the ROM15 by the alarm bit, the output work combination table and the output word table each. In such way, translation is carried out for an output.
