Abstract

PURPOSE:To conduct an inspection which does not require any special condition for a high-reliability and high-accuracy inspection yard's environment, by putting helium into a refrigerant passage and making the helium detect gas leak. CONSTITUTION:Prior to an inspection, an object (to be inspected) whose refrigerant passage is filled with compressed helium gas is put into an airtight chamber, a valve 23 of the first rough exhausting system 19 is opened, and rough exhaustion is executed up to a presribed pressure P2. And then, a valve 24 of a pre-test exhausting system 20 is opened, a valve 39 is also opened, and the exhausted gas is led to the third helium gas detector 38 for a pre-testing. If helium gas was not detected, a valve 25 of the first main exhausting system 21a is opened for further vacuum exhaustion, and a valve 26 of the first main test exhausting system 22a is opened, and at the same time, a valve 35 is also opened to allow the helium gas to flow into the first helium gas detector 34 to conduct a main test.
