Abstract
2 3.п. (/)The invention relates to the testing of closed hollow articles for leak tightness and makes it possible to expand the technological capabilities of the method by providing for testing closed products in the cavity of which it is impossible to place a foreign body. The product 2 is placed in the chamber 1, sealed it and pumped out by pumps 3 and 4. In the stream pumped through the pipeline 10 of the gas is placed the body II, absorbing helium. If article 2 has a through defect, then helium released through it is sorbed by body I1. The larger the defect, the more helium is sorbed by the material of the body 1I. When a leak detector 5 is connected to chamber I, helium enters its output, escaping through a defect and desorbing the material of body I1. When small leaks are detected, the leak detector 5 fixes not only helium coming out of the leak, but also desorbed by the body 11, therefore, the readings of the instrument increase. If the leak is large, then helium is pumped out of product 2, but helium is desorbed from the body of I1 at the entrance of the leak detector 5, so that the coarse leak is fixed. 2 3.p. f-ly, 2 ill.
