Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a material of a metallic foil inexpensive and reduce a manufacturing cost, by making use of heating so that hot forming is performed at the same time in the process of surface hardening treatment including a heating process, and reducing a forming complicacy of a metallic foil prior to the surface hardening treatment. CONSTITUTION:The bobbin 1a is not cylindrical entirely but remains formed in a nearly cylindrical shape which becomes narrower in the lower part in the figure. When a temperature of the metallic base body 1 rises in a state as shown in the figure, the metallic body 1 is softened and simultaneously the elongation percentage becomes large, too, therefore, said punch 10 sinks into the bobbin 1a by its own- weight, it is formed so as to widen the narrow part of the bobbin 1a and correct it to a cylindrical form, and it is formed to a shape of the part 8a in the figure. Thereafter, when a temperature further rises, hardening layer forming atoms diffuse and permeate on the surface of the metallic base body 1 from the dispersing agent 2, and a harden layer is formed.
