Abstract

PURPOSE:To carry out trichromatic electrophotographic copy by exposing a photoreceptor manufactured by laminating the 1st and 2nd photoconductive layers on an electrically conductive substrate to the light image of a trichromatic original followed by development with toners of three colors. CONSTITUTION:Photoconductive layer 12 having no sensitivity to red light and sensitivity to blue light and photoconductive layer 13 having sensitivity to red light and lower sensitivity to blue light than the sensitivity of layer 12 are laminated on electrically conductive substrate 11 to manufacture photoreceptor 1. Photoreceptor 1 is electrically charged at least twice while reversing the polarity alternately to charge layers 12, 13 reversely to each other, and the surface potential of photoreceptor 1 is adjusted to a value relatively near 0. Photoreceptor 1 is then exposed to the light image of trichromatic original O having a trichromatic image of red, blue and black on the white ground to form an electrostatic latent image part. This latent image is made visible with red, blue and black toners.
