Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain heated water of high temperature continuously by arranging a number of groups of lenses focusing on a pipe arrange in the shape of a zigzag pipe in a frame body.
CONSTITUTION: The copper pipe 3 in the zigzag shape, which is connected to a water supply pipe 2 and a hot-water supply pipe 4, is housed in the frame body 1, while the lenses 7 are fitted in a number of holes 6 made in a lens-supporting frame 5 and are made to focus on the pipe 3. When water is supplied into the pipe 3 from the water supply pipe 2 and the groups of lenses 7 are directed toward the rays of the sun, the rays of the sun are focailzed on the pipe 3 and heat the water inside the pipe, and then the cock 10 of the hot-water supply pipe 4 is opened and the hot water is stored in a hot-water storing tank 11. According to experiments, the hot water having the temperature of nearly 100°C is obtained continuously under direct rays of the sun even in winter. In relation to the change in the angle of irradiation of the sun in the daytime, the device is inclined by utilizing a rotary shaft 8, while in relation to the change in position of the sun in the four seasons, adjustment of the device is conducted manually or other means.
