Abstract
PURPOSE: To generate monoatoms effectively without increasing the pressure of a vacuum chamber by supporting the leading end part of a gas introduction system which supplies gas to the inside of the vacuum chamber within the vacuum chamber, disposing the same near the heating element and allowing the gas and the heating element to contact.
CONSTITUTION: A heating element 4 is fixed to a flange 7 by means of the heating element supports 11 in a vacuum chamber 1 and the power lead-in terminals 5 to the heating element 4 are mounted to this flange 7 and are connected to the heating power source 6. The nozzle 12 of a gas introduction system 3 which supplies gas to the inside of the vacuum chamber 1 is penetrated through the flange 7 and is fixed. Here, when the vacuum chamber 1 is evacuated by operating the vacuum exhaust system 2, electricity is conducted via the power lead-in terminals 5 and the lead wires 13 to the heating element 4 from the heating power source 6 and the gas is sent into the nozzle 12 from the gas introduction system 3, then the multimolecular gas contacts the heating element 4 and is effectively made monoatomic.
