Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a higher efficiency of energy conversion by attaching platelike vanes to one turning blade so as to take such preset self-motions that one of opposed vanes is turned at tight angles with a wind direction and the other of them is turned in parallel to it.
CONSTITUTION: Platelike vanes 15 are attached to a turning blade 13 of a rotary shaft, freely turning of themselves. An endless chain 19 is tensed between a lining gear 17 of the platelike vane 15 and a stationary gear 18. The vanes are preset to take such motions that one vane 15a on a turning blade at right angles with a wind direction of an arrow B is turned at right angles with said flow direction while the opposed one 15c is turned in parallel with the flow direction. The vane 15a is subjected to a strong fluid force while the vane 15c is to a weak force, thereby enhancing energy conversion from a fluid power to a turning power.
